The rescheduled Perry Sesquicentennial Trivia Night is Thursday, and trivia buffs are encouraged to flex their knowledge and help fund the City’s 150th birthday.
The event is being organized by the Perry Chamber of Commerce, with help from the Friends of the Perry Public Library who have run several trivia events in the past. It will be held at 6:30 p.m. Thursday at La Poste, and all proceeds from the evening will go towards the Perry Sesquicentennial Planning Committee. The event was originally planned for January 24th, but inclement weather forced its postponement to this week. Chamber Director Lynsi Pasutti is hopeful that the delay will encourage more people to participate, and emphasizes that it will be fun for everyone. “It’ll be Perry trivia, so not just Perry history if you are a lifelong resident of Perry or a history buff, you know it’s not just for those folks it’s for everybody. There should be some fun anything Perry-related. Hopefully we get a good start, a good jump on fundraising, and it’s a fun night to kind of kick off that celebration for the whole year.”
Cost to participate in the trivia night is $10 per person, and teams can have up to eight people. No preregistration is required, but if you want to you can sign your team up at the Perry Public Library. For more information, call the Chamber office at 515-465-4601 or the library at 515-465-3569.
