We’re two days away from the start of the 2019 Iowa State Wrestling tournament and the three qualifiers from Adel-Desoto-Minburn Community Schools know who’ll they’ll face in Thursday’s event opener. It’s the second straight year the trio of senior Andrew Flora (126), senior Nolan Harsh (182) and junior Kaden Sutton (220) will represent ADM at Wells Fargo Arena. Flora (35-0) got the best draw of all three Tiger grapplers, drawing the top seed of the 126-pound bracket in his fourth appearance at state. His first-round match at Wells Fargo Arena comes against Harlan junior Ethan Lemon (45-7). Harsh (34-1) joins Flora as a four-time state qualifier, attracting a No. 6 seed in the Class 2A 182 bracket. His opening round match comes against Sioux City Heelan junior Colby Wimesherr (35-14). Sutton (32-6) qualified for his second straight state wrestling tournament, entering the event unseeded at 220 pounds. He’ll grapple another unseeded athlete in Grinnell sophomore Kamrin Steveson (27-11). The first session of the Class 2A Iowa State Wrestling Tournament starts at 6 p.m. Thursday from Wells Fargo Arena in Des Moines.
