The Guthrie Center City Council met in regular session Monday.
The Council approved the fire department’s request to use the remaining funds in the Howey Estate fund for a grass fire truck that has been ordered. The $61,000 of remaining estate funds will be used for the estimated $105,000 truck, with the balance paid by funds from other sources. The Council also approved hiring MSA Professional Services to do the design phase for a possible new bathhouse at the aquatic center. The cost of the design phase is $19,500.
