DOT Plow truck on Highway 44 near Panora
Roads remain slick Wednesday morning following the recent snow event in the Raccoon Valley Radio listening area.
In the wake of the most recent snowstorm, road conditions are continuing to be slick this morning for Greene, Dallas and Guthrie counties. According to the Iowa Department of Transportation, most of the roads are partially covered with ice. Plow crews are out applying materials to the road. Motorists are urged to give plow trucks plenty of room to work. The DOT also reports that there is a tow ban in place for Dallas and Guthrie counties.
According to the National Weather Service, Perry saw just over three-inches of snowfall Tuesday and Guthrie Center saw five-inches. There was no immediate information available for Jefferson. The icy roads have also caused several school districts to delay the start of the school day today. Listen to Raccoon Valley Radio for cancellation and postponement information throughout the day.
