Valentine’s Day is tomorrow and Greene County Chamber and Tourism reminds county residents that you don’t need to leave the area to celebrate the holiday.

Chamber Board President Lisa Kuhl says when you shop local, you help out the small businesses and the local economy.

“So we would like you to shop local. Find something for that loved one that you have, something special. Lot of great gifts for Valentine’s Day.”

Kuhl also reminds everyone about the restaurant selections that Greene County has to offer.

“Eat local. Valentine’s Day is in the middle of the week, who wants to drive Ames or Des Moines, especially when you don’t know what the weather is going to be like. And we have great food.”

The Greene County Chamber and Tourism supports its members and small businesses throughout the county.
