
All three state qualifying wrestlers at Adel-Desoto-Minburn Community Schools won their initial match of 2019 Iowa State High School Wrestling tournament Thursday evening at Wells Fargo Arena in Des Moines. The session started with senior Andrew Flora outlasting Harlan’s Ethan Lemon for a 4-3 decision win in his first round match at 126 pounds. Senior Nolan Harsh followed up with a second period pinfall of Bishop Heelan’s Colby Wilmesherr (2:33) in his initial match at 182 pounds. Junior Kaden Sutton finished ADM’s opening night with a 7-1 decision win over Grinnell’s Kamrin Steveson. All three ADM wrestlers start today’s competition in the Class 2A quarterfinal round starting around 2:45 p.m. from Wells Fargo Arena in Des Moines.
