The Class 2A Region 7 tournament continues in Adel tonight for the Panorama Panthers varsity girls basketball team. The Panthers will square off against the Nodaway Valley Wolverines in the semifinal round at ADM’s North Gym. These two teams met once in the regular season with Panorama topping Nodaway Valley, 68-42, on January 21 in Panora. The No. 6 Panthers (21-1) shut down the Woodward-Granger Lady Hawks in the second half of their quarterfinal playoff matchup Wednesday night in Panora. The Panthers allowed six second-half points, turning a three-point halftime deficit into a 39-23 victory. Senior Bailey Beckman poured in a team-best 10 points, while junior Anna Holloway added nine for the Panthers. Nodaway Valley enters tonight’s regional semifinal off a 53-42 win over Southeast Valley in Greenfield Wednesday evening.
