
It’s the third and final day of wrestling at the Iowa State Tournament inside Wells Fargo Arena in Des Moines. The Raccoon Valley Radio Sports Network has followed 13 place winners today. That contingent is led by three finalists including two who will meet each other for a State title. Juniors Cody Fisher, representing Woodward-Granger, and ADM’s Kaden Sutton, will face off at 220 lbs. in Class 2A tonight with a State Championship on the line. It’s Fisher’s third straight trip to the finals and he’s seeking title number one. Sutton was a State qualifier last year and is in his first final.

Bryce Hatten of Winterset, also a junior, is in the 2A title match at 126 lbs. He’ll go up against Solon freshman Hayden Taylor, who knocked off 2018 State Champion and number one seed Andrew Flora in Friday night’s semifinals by a 15-0 technical fall to hand Flora his first loss of the season. Hatten was a State qualifier last season and is in the finals for the first time.
The listening area had third place finishes from a pair of Class 2A wrestlers in Andrew Flora of ADM and Perry’s Kaleb Olejniczak. Winterset’s Jack West and ADM’s Nolan Harsh finished in fourth place. Kruise Kiburz of Winterset was fifth, with Caleb Swalla of Van Meter/Earlham placing seventh, all in 2A.
In 1A. Blaine Beeler of ACGC was sixth and the Chargers’ Easton Benson was eighth. Carson Wadle of West Central Valley finished in seventh place
Luke Fistler of Dallas Center-Grimes was sixth in 3A at 160 lbs.
