The Guthrie County Fair Board is seeking the community’s help to raise $50,000 for one of several capital projects happening at the fairgrounds this year.

An anonymous Guthrie County resident has proposed a matching donation of $50,000 for a new Art and Ag Hall, with a challenge to residents to raise the matching funds. Besides the Art and Ag Hall, the Board plans to remodel the fairgrounds’ restrooms and shower houses, and build a new Lion’s Club and American Legion food and bingo stand. The Board will also be fundraising with their 5th annual supper taking place March 2nd. Tickets are $25 and can be purchased from a Board member or at Buttler Agronomy Services.
