Don’t forget, there are a pair of events going on today in Perry, one exclusively for teenagers, and the other for the general public.

First of all, the Perry Kiwanis Club is hosting their annual Pancake Festival, running from 7 a.m. – 2 p.m. in the gymnasium at the McCreary Community Building. The meal includes all you can eat pancakes and sausage, as well as drinks, with tickets costing $7 for adults and $5 for kids age 12 and under. All proceeds will go towards scholarships and other community service projects to benefit the youth of Perry.

The other event is a free program for teenagers through the Perry Public Library. It’s the monthly Teen Social Saturday, which runs from 10 a.m. – 1 p.m. in the library’s large meeting room. Attendees can play games, enjoy snacks, and meet and socialize with other teens from the Perry area. No registration is required for either of today’s events, and tickets for the Pancake Festival can be purchased at the door.
