Two Fontanelle residents were recently arrested on felony drug charges in Guthrie County.

According to the Guthrie County Sheriff’s Office, a deputy contacted 44-year-old Kevin Lee Trent Friday morning after Trent had parked his vehicle in front of a Casey residence. The vehicle did not match the license plates that were attached to it, and while in contact with Trent it was found that he had a suspended license. While Trent was being arrested, the deputy found an electronic stun gun in his pocket, as well as a plastic baggie containing a white residue consistent with methamphetamine. The deputy also noticed a large bulge in the pants of the second suspect, 45-year-old Jodi Lea Griffith, which was found to be a flashlight containing empty plastic baggies and one with a considerable amount of meth.

Trent and Griffith both admitted the meth was theirs jointly. Drug paraphernalia was also found in Trent’s vehicle. Trent and Griffith have both been charged with possession of no more than five kilograms of meth, a class B felony, and possession of drug paraphernalia, a simple misdemeanor. Additional charges are pending completion of the investigation. Raccoon Valley Radio will bring you more information as it becomes official.
