The Dallas County Fair Board recently announced the headlining entertainment for this year’s fair, with country music star Joe Diffie set to perform at the grandstand.
Diffie will take the stage on Friday, July 12th during the fair, along with special guest Jason Pritchett. The gates will open the night of the event at 6 p.m., with the concert starting at 8. General admission tickets will go on sale starting March 15th. Booking Diffie is part of the Fair Board’s goal to provide more exciting entertainment in order to attract more people to attend the yearly event. The Board is hopeful the county will help make that possible, as they requested a $10,000 increase in funding for their 2019 budget from the County Board of Supervisors.
This year’s Dallas County Fair will run from July 11-14 at the fairgrounds in Adel. The fair itself is free to attend, but there is a charge for all of the evening entertainment. Tickets for individual events can typically be purchased the day of or at the gate. However, the Fair Board believes the Diffie concert could sell out, so they encourage people to buy their tickets online ahead of time.
