A bounce-back 2018-19 season for the Adel-Desoto-Minburn Tigers varsity boys basketball team garnered a handful of postseason honors from the Raccoon River Conference. The league coaches voted seven players unanimously to the first-team squad for the first time in history, including Tigers sophomore guard Nate Mueller. Mueller registered a team-best 340 points, 112 assists, and 35 steals in his first varsity campaign. The Raccoon Valley Radio Network spoke with ADM head boys basketball coach Aaron Mager about Mueller’s selection to the first team squad. “To have Nate (Mueller) be a unanimous pick speaks a lot about not only his ability to score but his ability to assist the ball,” Mager said, “He’s our pacesetter on the ball, defensively too, so he contributes in a lot of ways for us.”
Senior Koby Hardcastle was universally selected a second-team honoree by the conference coaches. Hardcastle scored 255 points this winter, making 50 shots from beyond the arc. Junior Jaxson Milsap makes the honorable mention all-conference list, scoring 237 points including 50 made three-point baskets. ADM finished with a 13-10 overall record, a 10 win improvement from last year.
