The first full week of March is here and the preseason practice period for two spring sports will start later this month at Adel-Desoto-Minburn High School. Track and field practice at ADM began back on February 11, but last week was the first time the squad was full strength after the conclusion of the winter sports season on February 21. The first official practice of the girls’ golf and boys soccer seasons is next Monday, March 11. The boys’ varsity golf and girls varsity soccer teams begin preseason training on Monday, March 18. Both ADM varsity soccer teams came one game short of making the state tournament. The Tiger girls soccer team finished the season with a 16-3 overall record while the ADM boys soccer squad won 15 of their 18 games played last spring. The ADM boys golf team qualified the full squad for the Class 3A State tournament last May, finishing the event in eighth place.
