We wrap up our look back at ACGC boys basketball this past season with the individual accomplishments in each non-senior class. A trio of talented freshmen suited up for the gold and black this season.
Miles Kading led all freshman in scoring with 78 points and 15 completed three-pointers. Kading’s 15 three-pointers are already 8th most in program history. His best game of the season statistically came against Van Meter on January 28th. Despite a 41-67 setback, Kading scored a career high dozen points with two made three-pointers, four assists, and two steals. Kading finished his freshman season with thirteen rebounds, 29 assists, and nine steals.
Hunter Pauley also showed his long-range skills for the gold and black, nailing six three-pointers and recording 37 points this season. Nearly a third of the 37 came in the win over West Central Valley in Stuart on December 17th. He finished with a career high eleven points, shooting a perfect 3-3 from beyond the arc. He finished his freshman season with ten rebounds, four assists, seven steals, and two blocks.
Charlie Crawford added two points, one rebound, and three steals in varsity play for the Chargers. The freshman class totaled 117 points, 24 rebounds, 33 assists, 19 steals, and 21 completed three-pointers. Tomorrow we’ll look at the sophomore class.
