Monday, March 4th

4:52am: An officer assisted EMS with a Medical Call in the 1200 Block of Rushridge Road.

11:03am: An officer arrested Kory Chris Schubert, 49 of Denison on an Outstanding Arrest Warrant for Probation Violation out of Cass County.

11:15am: Casey’s reported a Gas Drive Off from 508 North Elm Street in the amount of $19.54.

4:19pm: A subject advised his parents had fallen for the “Grandchild Scam Call.” The caller identified himself as a grandchild and gained the confidence of the couple and convinced them he was in jail and needed bail money. On two separate days the grandparents mailed requested money to the caller in a total amount of $30,200.00. The caller called again and requested an additional amount of $4000.00 to be placed on Wal Mart Gift Cards. The money was placed on ten cards and the caller was given the numbers off of the cards and removed the funds electronically. The officer is investigating, but these methods are virtually untraceable.

6:28pm: Chris Hallinan advised of an unlicensed driver on North Elm Street, heading to Carroll. The officer located the vehicle and performed a Traffic Stop in the Fareway Parking Lot. The officer’s investigation led to the arrest of Kandice Maree Agar, 34 of Jefferson for, “OWI 1st Offense – Serious.”

9:26pm: An officer performed a Traffic Stop in the 1200 Block of North Elm Street with a male subject the officer knew to be Revoked in Iowa. The investigation led to the arrest of Michael Allen Olson, 57 of Jefferson for, “OWI 1st Offense – Serious and Driving While Revoked – Serious, and Fail to Provide Proof of Financial Liability – Simple.”
