There’s still quite a bit of snow on the ground in Adel, which means that residents will be able to submit entries for the annual snowman contest right up until the deadline.

The competition is sponsored by the Adel Parks and Recreation Department, which is challenging the public to build a snowman in any of the City’s parks and snap a picture of their work. Those who submit photos will be eligible to win a free family-sized pizza for their efforts. The deadline to submit photos is Friday. Participants can get as creative as they would like with their snow creations, but they are reminded to keep everything family-friendly. There is no cost to enter, and photos can be submitted by email to Parks and Rec Director Nick Schenck at NSchenck@adeliowa.org.
