A Jefferson man had his felony charges dismissed and was sentenced to probation on lesser charges for a 2017 incident.
According to court documents, 45-year-old Ryan Brown pled guilty to a misdemeanor for driving while barred and his second offense for possession of marijuana charge. The incident took place on December 28, 2017 to which Brown was ordered to serve two years of informal probation for each charge with all fines and surcharges suspended.
As per a plea deal made with former Greene County Attorney Nic Martino, Brown had all of his charges from a June 2018 incident dismissed in exchange for the guilty plea to the two misdemeanors for the unrelated incident. Brown was facing a felony for burglary, along with misdemeanors for driving while barred, domestic abuse assault, disorderly conduct, assault, interference with official acts and harassment. Those charges were from an incident where a fight took place, along with an alleged domestic abuse incident.
