The Perry School Board will convene Monday evening in regular session.

The meeting will begin with several reports, including: the Junior Class Prom Committee; a walkthrough of the preliminary certified budget for fiscal year 2020; discussion on the next phase of the Industrial Tech and Wrestling/Multipurpose Room Project; and a presentation of the new Building Trades class to be offered next year. In general business, the Board will consider approval of the abstract of the votes from the bond referendum election, followed by a resolution authorizing the issuance of $6.5 million in general obligation bonds.

After that, they will consider an agreement for ethernet services through the State of Iowa and the Iowa Telecommunications and Technology Commission. The annual cost would be just under $6,500 a year. Other items on the agenda include: approval of a $500 donation to the junior class for prom; a cooperative agreement with the University of Northern Iowa for student teacher field experience; revisions to Board policies; and personnel changes. Finally, the Board will set April 8th as the date for a public hearing to present the budget, and approve the budget guarantee resolution.

The meeting will conclude with an exempt session to conduct negotiations strategy. The meeting will be held Monday at 6 p.m. in the high school’s Brady Library.
