Thursday, March 14th

12:01am: An officer assisted Jefferson Fire and GC Ambulance at 108 East Central Ave. # 73 with a reported fire under the trailer home. The smoke was determined to be coming from an electrical breaker. No damage was reported.

1:42am: An officer secured an Open Door he had located at 1002 North Cedar Street.

5:30am: A Traffic Stop in the 300 Block of North Elm Street resulted in Christopher Wilson of Jefferson being cited for, “Driving While Suspended.”

8:31am: The Greene County Elementary reported a stray kitten at 401 East Russell Street. The kitten left the area before the arrival of the officer.

1:01pm: Melinda Gallagher reported a Civil Issue with a family member concerning a tax return. The officers assisted in mediating the issue to a solution between the parties.

1:18pm: An officer removed an opossum from a garage at 402 West Head Street and released it outside of town.

3:30pm: A Traffic Stop in the 200 Block of East Harrison Street resulted in Tyler Lowmiller of Jefferson being cited for. “Operation without Registration.”

3:51pm: A Traffic Stop at Madison and Elm resulted in Matthew Adams being cited for, “Fail to Obey Stop Sign.”

5:28pm: Officers assisted the GC Ambulance with a Medical Call in the 1400 Block of Woodland Drive.

6:39pm: A Traffic Stop in the 600 Block of South Elm Street resulted in Roger Burnie Jr. of Jefferson being cited for, “Excessive Speed.”

8:59pm: A Traffic Stop in the 200 Block of North Elm Street resulted in Daniel Newton of Grand Junction being cited for, “Operation without Registration.”
