track-and-field

The ADM Girls’ and Boys’ Track Teams will load the buses Saturday morning and head to the northwest to Storm Lake as they compete today in a Boys’ and Girls’ Co-ed Invitational at Buena Vista University.

The all day event will again give the Tigers young talent a chance to shine on a larger scale. On Tuesday, ADM competed in a Co-ed Invitational at Wartburg College in Waverly, and was graced with impressive performances from Sophomore, Nate Mueller, who scorched his closest competition by almost ten seconds in the 3200 meter. Besides dominating the competition in the 3200, Mueller also shattered the ADM indoor Track record in that particular event. For the girls, Freshman, Olivia Tollari finished in second place on Tuesday in the 400 meter dash, only to be ousted by Southeast Polk’s Natalie Clement.

ADM’s upper classmen didn’t disappoint either, Senior, Lucas Heitz finished runner up in the 55 meter hurdles, and Senior, Anna Kenny notched a top ten finish in the 200 meter.

The Tigers should see some familiar competition on Saturday in Storm Lake, as they’ll have another chance to showcase some of their disciplined and mature upper classmen, as well as their younger, less experienced talent, too.
