Matthew Ross

A Marne man was arrested for violating pretrial release conditions in a Guthrie County sex abuse case.

According to court documents, a warrant was issued on March 15th for 22-year-old Matthew Ross, with bond set at $25,000, cash or surety. Ross was originally arrested on January 31st on two counts of second degree sexual abuse, a class B felony, for an incident that occurred in Stuart, to which he pled not guilty. Court documents show he was on pretrial release when he violated rules of reporting contact with law enforcement and curfew. It was also shown that Ross told the Court and his pretrial release parole officer that he lived with his mother and sister in Marne. Cass County law enforcement reports he was living at a residence in Atlantic with minor children living in the home, also a violation of his pretrial release rules. Ross was also charged with enticing a minor under 16, a class D felony, in Cass County on March 14th. He allegedly contacted a 15-year-old female on social media and asked her for sex. Ross is in custody at the Guthrie County Jail. Raccoon Valley Radio will bring you more information as it becomes official.
