The Jefferson Fire Department is having their annual fundraiser this weekend.

The Fireman’s Ball will be held on Saturday from 8pm to midnight at Clover Hall on the Greene County Fairgrounds. Musical entertainment will be provided by DJ Bass Makers. Tickets for the dance is $5 per person. Fire Chief Jack Williams says tickets are available from any volunteer firefighter.

“We’ll have firemen going out every Wednesday up until then to sell tickets and raffle tickets. We are going to raffle off a 65-inch flatscreen tv and a whole hog (with) processing.”

He adds that raffle tickets are also $5 each and the drawing will be held at the dance. Winners do not need to be present to win. All proceeds will go back to the fire department for equipment purchases.
