A water line repair project in downtown Perry will result in the occasional closure of a major thoroughfare in the City.

The construction is focused on 2nd Street between Warford and Lucinda streets. The work will commence at 7 a.m. Wednesday, and will wrap up Friday. During that time frame, the contractor will completely close 2nd Street for extended periods, though most of the time the street will be open to one-lane traffic. The closure will not affect traffic on Warford or Lucinda, but motorists are advised to find an alternate route through the downtown area. The City notes that people will be able to access the businesses in the area during construction, though street parking will be limited.
