
The Greene County Board of Supervisors will meet today.
The meeting will start with an introduction of the new mental health advocate for the county through the Central Iowa Community Services mental health region. The Board will then consider for approval hiring a full-time jailer for the sheriff’s office and making two recommendations to the Iowa Department of Natural Resources following public hearings at 9 and 9:30am for hog confinements. Additionally, the Board will review the master matrix score for another proposed hog confinement in Section 36 of Paton Township and review a letter to the state legislature regarding the master matrix.
The meeting begins at 8:30am in the boardroom of the courthouse in Jefferson.
