The Guthrie County Board of Supervisors met in regular session Tuesday.
The meeting began with a monthly update from County Attorney Brenna Bird. Next, the Board approved signing contracts for the Monteith Road project and a bridge replacement project southeast of Panora on Viceroy Trail. The Board also approved a tax increment financing (TIF) advance request of $700,000 from County Engineer Josh Sebern. The Supervisors tabled action on approving an appropriations resolution for fiscal year 2020 until the fiscal year 2019 budget amendment process is completed, to which they tentatively set May 21st as the public hearing date. They then approved the county library contracts for fiscal year 2020. The Board then approved a fireworks permit for the Menlo Sesquicentennial Committee, though Auditor Marci McClellan was unsure if Menlo needed the County’s approval if the fireworks will be displayed within City limits. McClellan will ask the attorney’s office for their opinion on the matter.
Finally, McClellan told the Board she would like to offer Deputy Auditor Dani Fink an extra $1,270 to her salary, as Fink was offered a Dallas County position. McClellan said she has funds in the general supplementary budget to afford this raise, and that Fink would prefer to remain in her position. No arguments were raised by the Board.
