The Adel City Council will convene Monday evening in regular session.

The meeting will start with approval of the consent agenda, which consists of items including: supporting the redesignation of the Raccoon River Valley Trail as an “Iowa Great Place”; adopting a procurement policy for federal grant funded projects; and the closure of City parking lots for the library’s summer reading kick-off, and the Bike Rodeo event. In new business, the Council will hold the second reading of an ordinance to amend the Southbridge Planned Urban Development (PUD), which had the first reading approved during the first meeting of this month.

Next, they will consider approving a construction contract and bond on the storm water utility improvements project on North 15th Street. Finally, the Council will consider a resolution opposing the property tax reform bills currently being discussed at the State Legislature. The meeting will conclude with a closed session to discuss pending litigation. The meeting will be held at 6 p.m. Monday in the Council chambers at Adel City Hall.
