Dallas County Hospital is offering a free program to help people dealing with a common ailment that often goes untreated.
A Low Back Pain Workshop will be held on Tuesday, May 7th, at 5:30 p.m. in the DCH community room. Clint Lutterman, Rehab Director for 21st Century Rehab at the hospital will lead the event, which he says will be an interactive educational session. Attendees will learn about different causes of back pain and different remedies, and they will also have the opportunity to share their own experiences.
Lutterman describes the type of people that the workshop is designed for. “Those people that have been dealing with back pain, struggling with issues for a while, (or) just want to get more information. Maybe they don’t really know what we can do to help them, or they don’t really know what they can do to help themselves. And so this is a time to come and learn and get some information. And maybe it’s a family member that you know that has been dealing with pain for a long time. And so being able to talk to people about that as well.”
Lutterman adds, the workshop is by no means exclusive to those who have lower back pain, and those with back issues located in other areas can also learn a great deal about their own ailments. There is no cost to attend, though registration is required.
