Panorama’s weekend at the Drake Relays wrapped up Saturday with girls relay teams running in the shuttle hurdle and 4×100.

The shuttle hurdle team of Abby Brown, Lydia Knapp, Morgan Johnk and Shey Storesund finished in 12th place with a time of 1:09.83.

Coach Greg Thompson said that was their second best time of the season despite wet and chilly conditions in Des Moines and the 12th place finish put them two spots above where they were seeded going into the race.

Thompson said the 4×100 relay also posted their second best time of the spring, finishing 43rd with a mark of 51.78 seconds. That team consisted of Johnk, Hope Arganbright, Kassidy Bremer and Bailey Beckman and the finish is also better than their pre-race seeding.

The Panorama track and field teams will be back in regular competition on Tuesday as they prepare for state qualifying, which is now less than two weeks away.
