The varsity golfers from Greene County High School were in action Monday. The girls played ADM at the River Valley Course north of Adel and lost 231-258. Ellie Madson shot 55 for the nine holes for the Rams and was runner-up medalist. Mariah Block shot 62 with Alexis Miller at 69 and 72 for Trista Gierstorf. Coach Shawn Zanders told Raccoon Valley Radio the large greens, thick rough, and water, negatively affected Greene County scores. The girls go to the Cedar Pointe Course at Boone tomorrow for the Heart of Iowa Activities Conference tournament at 9 a.m.

The boys were on the short end of a 159-201 score at Breda vs. Carroll High on Monday. Jadon Block led the Rams with a nine hole round of 45. Jacob Rohner shot 50 with Cody Gilbertson at 52, and Blake Halligan 54. Carroll had the medalist and runner-up in Drew Munson (39) and Ty Nissen (40).
