Another high-profile U.S. Senator and Democratic Presidential candidate will be paying a visit to Perry this weekend.

Senator Bernie Sanders from Vermont will hold a town hall event Saturday at 3 p.m. at the McCreary Community Building. This is his second trip to Iowa since officially declaring his intention to seek the Democratic nomination for President of the United States, and his first stop in Dallas County. Sanders finished second in the Iowa Caucuses in 2016 and is once again considered a front-runner in the crowded Democratic candidate pool. He is one of 20 individuals running for the nomination, and he’s the third so far to visit Perry ahead of the 2020 caucuses, following former Maryland Congressman John Delaney and current Massachusetts Senator Elizabeth Warren.

The town hall is free to attend and open to the public. Tickets are not required, though RSVPs are recommended. Entrance and seating at the event will be first-come, first-served. To RSVP for the Sanders town hall, click the link below.
