Looking for something active to do with a loved one this Mother’s Day?

Springbrook State Park is hosting a Wildflower Hike with Mom event from 10 a.m.-noon this Sunday. Iowa Department of Natural Resources Training Specialist Anne Riordan says this is a perfect opportunity to celebrate the holiday and National Wildflower Week by taking a hike along Springbrook’s trails in search of wild flora and fauna. Riordan also encourages participants to bring a picnic to enjoy afterwards at the park. This event is free and open to the public, and attendees are asked to meet at the campground gazebo.
