
The Perry City Council will convene this evening in regular session.
The meeting will begin with rescinding a resolution approved in 2016 that disposed of public property. In new business, the Council will set a public hearing for May 20th to consider an amendment to the 2019 budget. Next, they will make an appointment to the Planning and Zoning Commission, followed by approval of the City’s Fourth of July fireworks show presented by J&M Displays. The Council will then consider a resolution authorizing the sale of an unused vehicle and piece of equipment, as well as a resolution establishing the position of Wednesday Fellowship Coordinator and Cook at the McCreary Community Building.
Other items on the agenda include: a resolution consenting to the transfer of agreements from Bankers Trust to UMB; a professional service agreement with Bolton and Menk for consultant purposes in evaluating the design of the stormwater wetlands project; and a resolution approving the application for an urban renewal loan. Finally, the Council will consider the first reading of an amendment to the City’s Code of Ordinances regarding parking on Estella Street. The meeting will be held at 6 p.m. tonight in the Clarion Room at Perry City Hall.
