The third time proved to be the charm Saturday as Perry finally was able to host their annual Soccer Invitational at Dewey Field. The field was dropped from four to three teams but fans were entertained by three tightly contested games. Perry opened up the day with a 3-2 shootout victory over the Polar Bears. Mario Saldanas provided both Perry goals. The Bluejay offense went quiet against Council Bluffs Lewis Central. The Titans grabbed an early lead and held possession throughout the second half in securing a 3-0 victory over Perry. With the split, the Bluejays are now 10-5 on the season.
Perry will host Des Moines Lincoln tonight and travel to Tulip land Thursday for a battle with the Little Dutch of Pella.
