The Panorama School Board met in regular session Monday.

The meeting began with a public hearing for the fiscal year 2019 budget amendment. No comments were made and the Board approved the amendment, which Superintendent Shawn Holloway says reflects increased expenses for support services, “When we had originally done our ‘18-’19 budget we had allocated $2,854,000 to that and we increased (it) to $3 million. The amendment really needed to come from we had hired a couple paraprofessionals once the year started based on special education numbers and then also a special education teacher. So that was the reason for the increased amount that was needed there.”

The Board also approved an annual renewal of Specialty Underwriters Insurance.
