The Guthrie County school districts were well represented this past week at the Co-Ed State Track and Field meet and will continue in the spring postseason.
Adair-Casey/Guthrie Center’s Kate Crawford was the top finisher for the Chargers from the state track meet with a second place finish in the 3,000-meter run. Suzanne Shoemaker earned a runner-up spot in the shot put for West Central Valley.
As for Panorama, the boys’ golf team will continue in their postseason as they recently qualified for the Class 2A State Tournament. The Panthers finished third at districts in Carroll last week, but because the host school, Keumper Catholic, won the tournament, Panorama also qualified. The top two teams qualify for state unless the host school is one of the top two, then the third place team also qualifies.
The 2A State Golf Tournament takes place Thursday and Friday in Marshalltown.
