Stuart and surrounding residents can celebrate Father’s Day weekend right at home with the annual Stuart Good Egg Days.

Lasting from Friday through Sunday will be carnival rides, games, and other attractions around Lawbaugh Park, as well as a quilt show, street dance, 5k run, alumni banquet and more. Stuart Chamber of Commerce President Kristy Lonsdale says this event serves to celebrate the City’s progress, “The theme this year is ‘Working Together Towards Tomorrow.’ We’ve got a lot of organizations you know Bob (Cook) works with Scoop the Loop, we’ve got the Revitalization Group, we have a new group – (Stuart) Young Professionals, the Lions Club, we all are trying to work together to make Stuart a town that people want to come visit and come see what we have to offer. And we want to make a really good town celebration that people want to come to.”

Several recognitions are also given during the annual festival, including Citizen of the Year and Father of the Year, and the Little Stinker and Stinkette contest.
