
It’s a high school baseball doubleheader on the road today for the Greene County Rams. Coach John Hupp’s team is 0-3 this week and they’ll travel to Gilbert for games scheduled for 5 and 7:30 p.m. vs. the Tigers. Greene County is 4-10 on the season and 2-5 in league play while the Tigers are 9-2 overall and 5-1 in the conference.
The Rams have been out scored 26-8 this week in dropping all three games. The team batting average is .252 and the team earned run average is 5.84. Gilbert has a .311 team BA and team ERA of 2.00.
Two more games are on the schedule tomorrow in Des Moines at Saydel High School. The Rams and Eagles are joined by Clarke (Osceola) and Van Meter. Greene County hosts North Polk (Alleman) on Monday night in Jefferson at Allensworth Field on KG98 and streamed on www.raccoonvalleyradio.com.
