The Perry softball team was shocked Thursday night at the PAC as Heart of Iowa member and a struggling 3-8 Saydel squad blasted the Jayettes 12-0 in a three inning game. Saydel inflicted all of their damage in the top of the third inning when they scored all 12 runs and sent 16 batters to the plate. Freshman starter Jayna Kenney was chased from the game after lasting 2 1/3 innings surrendering 8 hits, 3 walks and 9 earned runs. Peyton Tunick allowed 3 earned runs in 2/3 inning of relief. Perry was held to only two hits in three innings. The Jayettes will travel to Roland Story today and tomorrow for the annual Hennesey Park Kiwanis Club Roland Story Invitational.
