Greene County travels to Alleman to take on Class 3A top 15 ranked North Polk in Heart of Iowa Activities Conference softball. the Comets are 12-7 overall and 7-1 in the conference while Coach Tom Kennedy’s Rams are 4-13 and 2-7. NP won handily the first time the teams met.

The Rams went 1-2 on Saturday in State Center at the West Marshall tournament. Greene County beat Newton 10-4, then lost 5-4 to the host Trojans, and ended the day with a 9-5 loss to Baxter. Regular third baseman and number five hitter Carmyn Paup missed the tournament due to a wedding in the family. The Rams expect to have her back in the lineup tonight.
