desoto-fun-days-2019

The annual DeSoto Fun Days is coming this weekend, and the community is invited to two days of festivities.

The event will begin Friday with karaoke and homemade ice cream from 6-9 p.m. at Little Bridge Park. The bulk of the festivities will be on Saturday, starting with the parade. Parade staging will start at 9:15 a.m. at DeSoto Intermediate School, with the procession starting at 10. Following the parade, there will be a wide assortment of free activities held at the park until 4 p.m., including polka music, inflatables, face painting, a magician, balloon creations, zoomers, “Let’s Dance,” pie in the face, “Minute to Win-It,” Debra’s School of Dance, and a car show. There will also be crafts and storytime between 11-1 at the public library, and the fire and rescue crews will host a water fight and dunk tank.

At 4 p.m. there will be an alumni gathering, followed by the annual Cattleman’s Meal at 6. There will also be a beer garden and free concert by the “Exit 113 Band.” Aside from food and vendors at the event, there is no cost to attend or participate in DeSoto Fun Days.
