The ACGC baseball and softball teams ended the week on a sour note, getting swept in twin doubleheaders by Van Meter on Thursday.

The baseball teams fell by scores of 11-1 and 8-0. The girls scores were 14-0 and 13-3. Van Meter has been tough on everybody this year with the baseball team now boasting a 16-3 record while the softball team is 17-8.

The ACGC softball team was denied the chance to bounce back Friday when their road game at Grand View Christian got rained out.

Up next for the Chargers is a rivalry game as they visit Panorama on Monday. The softball teams will play a doubleheader Monday while baseball will just have one varsity game which will be broadcast live on 107.9 FM KKRF.
