The City of Adel is seeking a pair of individuals to honor the call to serve on either the Historic Preservation Commission or the Parks and Recreation Board.

The City had hoped to have the positions filled at their June meeting, but due to gender balance rules in the Iowa Code, they had to repost the openings. A male applicant is needed for the Historic Preservation Commission, while a female is required to join the Parks and Rec Board. The applicants will be reviewed by Mayor Jim Peters and the City staff, who will give recommendations for approval by the City Council at their meeting on July 9th. In order to be included in the Council packet prior to the meeting, interested individuals must submit applications before Wednesday, July 3rd at noon.
