A local organization recently made donations to the swimming pools in Greene County.

Beta Tau Delta gave the Jefferson Municipal Swimming Pool $700 and the Grand Junction Swimming Pool received a $300 donation. Beta Tau Delta member Jan McDermot says they’ve given the Jefferson pool $4,464 since 2000 for improvements and upgrades. As for the Grand Junction pool, McDermot says they’ve given $600 over the last two years. Jefferson Pool Manager Simeon Lang says the co-ed sorority indicated using the donation for underprivileged kids to obtain season pool passes.

Beta Tau Delta is continuing their mission of supporting Greene County area youth.
