The Panorama baseball team picked up a mercy rule victory at home Monday, topping ACGC 12-2 in five innings.
The Panthers got off to a fast start as Evan Taylor led off the bottom of the first with a home run on the first pitch he saw. Three walks and three batters hit by pitches would help them go up 5-0 before the inning was over. They added two more in the second inning on a two-run triple by Malachi Peasley.
ACGC got a run back when Miles Kading walked and scored on a sacrifice fly by Newell Rogers, but Panorama put up three more in the bottom half to make it a 10-1 lead after three innings.
The Chargers loaded the bases in the top of the fourth, but only got one run and Panorama pushed across two more in the bottom half.
Every Panorama batter reached base at least once in the game with Peasley and Levi Richey each driving in two runs.
Both teams will be in action again Tuesday with Panorama visiting Ogden while ACGC hosts West Central Valley.
