
Tuesday, June 25th
2:11am: An officer located a juvenile at Russell Park that was trespassing and violating curfew.
4:27am: An officer responded to 504 East Harrison Street for a dog running at large.
8:20am: An officer responded to the 200 block of North Maple Street for a report of illegal burning.
9:37am: An officer responded to the Greene County Medical Center (1000 West Lincoln Way) for a report of a vehicle driving through the side of the clinic on the southwest side of the campus. Lousie Harris of Jefferson was attempting to park her 2013 Buick Lacrosse in a handicap parking space when she reportedly pushed the gas pedal rather than the brake to her vehicle by mistake, causing the vehicle to drive through the side of the building. The building sustained roughly $10,000 in damages. The vehicle sustained roughly $5,000 in damages to the front end. There were no injuries reported.
11:19am: Peggy Smits reported receiving an attempted phone scam.
12:12pm: An officer responded to Park Place #2 for a report of a possible gun shot hole in the side of the residence. An officer determined it was not a gun shot hole, rather a golf ball sized hole in the siding alone. It is unknown what caused the damage.
2:33pm: An officer responded to 304 North Chestnut Street for a report of a Theft of backpack that had just occurred. An officer located the suspect 3 blocks from the residence in possession of the stolen property. As a result, Justin Downs (33) of Correctionville was placed under arrest on scene for Theft – 5th Degree – Simple Misdemeanor.
3:42pm: Jacque Souder reported a possible phone scam.
4:29pm: Officers responded to 806 West Washington Street for a verbal dispute.
9:00pm: Officers assisted the Greene County Sheriff’s Office with executing a Search Warrant at 304 North Chestnut Street.
10:29pm: An anonymous caller advised of a fireworks complaint in the 100 block of North Olive Street.
10:44pm: An officer responded to Syngenta (300 American Avenue) for an alarm. Everything was found to be okay.
