The Ballard Bombers defeated Perry 9-2 Thursday night in Huxley in Raccoon River softball action.  Ballard smashed three home runs off Perry pitching and produced five extra base hits in blowing out the Jayettes.  Perry grabbed an early 1-0 lead but Ballard took the lead for good in the bottom of the second inning scoring two runs.  The Bombers scored at least one run the rest of the way through.  Ballard improves to 23-8 while Perry falls to 3-21 and 0-12 in RRC action.   The Jayettes will travel to Carroll next Monday and Winterset on Wednesday.
