The extreme heat continues today with another heat advisory in effect.

The National Weather Service has issued a heat advisory for all of Iowa today. Greene, Dallas and Guthrie counties are under a heat advisory from 11am-9pm. Heat indexes are estimated to reach 106-degrees fahrenheit. The National Weather Service reminds everyone to avoid being outdoors are long periods of time, take frequent breaks, stay hydrated and find cool and shady areas if outdoors.
