The 4th of July holiday isn’t slowing down the ACGC baseball team as they look to finish the regular season on a positive note.
The Chargers picked up two of their three wins this season last week and played a very good Woodward-Granger team close on Tuesday before lightning cut their game short. Coach Taylor Morris said the team planned to have a short practice this morning to avoid losing momentum.
“I think it’s important to keep them in that routine and don’t give them a day off,” Morris said. “Then you have that holiday hangover when you come back after a couple days off and you’re not used to that when it comes to baseball season.
ACGC has two games left in the regular season. They’ll visit Orient-Macksburg on Friday, then finish up Monday at home against Exira-EHK.
