As the nation celebrates its 243rd birthday, many offices and businesses are closed today to observe the holiday in Guthrie County.

The Guthrie County Courthouse, Guthrie County Extension Office, and Guthrie County Health Services are all closed for Independence Day, as well as Guthrie Center, Panora, and Stuart City Hall offices. Guthrie Center’s Mary J. Barnett Memorial Library and the Panora Public Library are both closed today. The Stuart Public Library is closed from now through Saturday. Additionally, all post offices and most banks are closed today.
